Question 1

What types of commercial roofs do you work on?

Accepted Answer

We install, repair, and replace commercial flat roofs (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen), commercial metal roofs (standing seam and exposed fastener), and commercial asphalt shingle roofs. Our crews work on office buildings, warehouses, retail centers, multi-family properties, churches, and industrial facilities all over North Carolina.

Question 2

Do you handle large multi-building projects?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly work for property owners and management companies with multiple buildings in different locations. We can phase the work and keep quality consistent from one property to the next, and you get a single point of contact for the entire project.

Question 3

What does the photo reporting process look like?

Accepted Answer

We photograph every stage of your project. Before we start, we send you photos of the existing conditions, and while the work is going on we capture progress at each major milestone. Once it is finished you get a full photo report of the completed work. That is a documented record for your files, and you can see exactly what was done without climbing on the roof yourself.

Question 4

Do you work outside the Raleigh-Durham area?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our home base is in the Raleigh-Durham area, but our commercial team works all over North Carolina, including Charlotte, Wilmington, the mountains, and everywhere in between. We have finished commercial projects statewide and can send crews to your location.

Question 5

How do you handle communication on commercial projects?

Accepted Answer

Every commercial project gets a dedicated project manager as your single point of contact for the whole job. They are on site during the work and reachable by phone and email, and they keep you informed with regular updates and photo reports. You will never have to chase anyone down for an answer.

Question 6

What manufacturer certifications does On Tops hold?

Accepted Answer

On Tops Roofing is a GAF Master Elite contractor, a designation fewer than 2% of roofing contractors nationwide hold. We are a CertainTeed ShingleMaster contractor too, and we have earned GAF's President's Club and Triple Excellence awards. Those certifications let us offer extended manufacturer warranties on qualifying commercial installations.
