On the day before and day of installation Luis the Project Manager provided a clear overview, aerial pictures through out the day and answered any questions. The team of workers on the job were great, especially in this heat! They removed a previous roof and installed the new one in one day. Started at 6:00 am - 730 pm. Long day! Luis and Chris came back the next day to walk thru and inspect the finish product and pick up remaining items. I had my roof replaced and my chimney cap replaced. It was a great experience!

What an awesome company to work with. Chris started this process and made easy to move forward. He gave us options and was not pushy about it at all. Luis our PM communicated everything to expect as well as ensuring we communicated if we needed to leave the house so he could make sure everything was ok for us to leave safely. The roof was done in a day and the clean up was excellent. Luis called us later to let us know they saw a couple of shingles that didn’t match and would be back to fix it. I was referred to On Top’s Roofing by a family member after their own positive experience. Initially, I reached out during due diligence on a property. A team member was available right away to come out and evaluate the condition of the roof and provide a quote on a new roof install. On Tops Roofing was quick to get the quote back to me, so I could make an informed decision. After I had purchased the property, I discussed with my point of contact, Chris, my timeline for the roof install. Based on my timeline, Chris followed up with me to set up an appointment for the roof install and Chris explained the next steps. The project manager, Luis, reached out the day before the appointment to talk through the next day. The team was out when they said they would be, and they got the roof installed quickly without sacrificing the quality of the install. I have done business with On Tops Roofing for about 30 years and not once have I been disappointed. They did a new construction roof for a house we built, repaired a 25 year old house we bought and later replaced that roof after storm damage. They showed up when promised, did the work, cleaned up and left. When they were gone, there was no evidence of them being there...none of the usual trash on the ground, no nails strewn around.... just a nice new roof that never gave any trouble. It would be easy to fill a page with positive comments about my recent experience with the team at OTR. From the initial phone contact right through cleanup, the work they did to tear off and replace my roof, as well as performing a major facelift on two dormers, was better than I could have imagined. The prices below are for full-system replacements, with tear-off, decking inspection, underlayment, and all flashings included. Deck repair is extra if we find rotted wood (typically $75–$150 per sheet).

We finish most replacements in the Triangle in a single day. Larger or steeper roofs (over 3,000 sq ft or 8/12 pitch and above) occasionally run into day two, and we’ll tell you upfront if that’s likely on your job.
You don’t have to be there while we install the roof. We do ask that someone is home at the start for a brief walkthrough, and that you’re around for the final walk-through when the job is done.
Insurance typically covers storm damage (hail, wind, falling trees), but it generally does not cover age-related wear and tear. We can help you document storm damage for your adjuster, though we don’t inflate claims. When your insurer is involved, they get the same straight scope from us that you do.
Shingles used to be sold as 30-year, 40-year, and 50-year products, plus some 25-year economy options. Now virtually all architectural asphalt shingles from reputable manufacturers carry a lifetime rating. In practice, “lifetime” means for as long as you own the home, usually capped at 50 years or more.
You technically can, but it’s usually not worth it. New shingles on a partial replacement almost never match the color of the existing ones, and a partial job gets no manufacturer warranty coverage. And if one slope is bad enough to replace, the rest is usually close behind. North Carolina law also classifies partial replacements as repairs, so we’re required to charge sales tax on the work, which varies by county and averages around 7.25%. We’ll be honest with you about when a partial makes sense and when it doesn’t.
