We treat every home like it belongs to someone we know, and most of the time it does. We are not trying to be the biggest roofing company in North Carolina. We want to be the one homeowners in Raleigh, Wilmington, and everywhere in between can count on to show up and do the job well. And we want to still be reachable ten years later when they have a question.

Shingles and flashing are rarely the real worry. You are worried about overpaying, or about hiring the wrong crew and not finding out until the next big storm. You do not know what is actually wrong with your roof, and you are not sure who to trust to tell you the truth about it. That is the part most roofers skip right past, and we do not.

We install to manufacturer spec or better and do the prep work most crews skip because nobody sees it. You will not notice that on day one, but you will in year ten.

We handle the whole job and clean up after ourselves, and you end up with a roof you do not have to think about again.

Our History
More than three decades of roofing in North Carolina.
On Tops Roofing was founded in 1991 in Angier, NC, and served homeowners across Harnett and Johnston counties while the region grew steadily. The company started out focused on new construction and over time turned into the full-service company we are today.
- 1991Founded in Angier, NC. On Tops Roofing started out doing new construction roofing across Harnett and Johnston counties.
- 2007A permanent home base. We opened our building on NC-210 in Angier. It was the first dedicated operations hub the company had.
- 2010sGrowing north with the Triangle. We grew along with Cary, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Durham as they expanded, and residential roofing in the Triangle became the core of our business.
- 2022Headquarters moved to Cary, NC. We relocated our main operations to Cary to better serve our growing customer base in the Triangle.
- 2025Expanded to the coast. We opened a second location in Wilmington and brought On Tops to southeastern North Carolina and the surrounding communities.
