Affordable Payment Options for Your Roofing Project
Two financing options we use most
These are the two programs we talk through with homeowners most often when they want to protect their budget and not put off a roof replacement. Both are subject to credit approval.
Promotional option
0% interest for 12 months
This short-term option is a convenient way to spread the cost of your roof over the next year with a smaller monthly payment.
Loan minimum starts at $500
You can put money down to lower the amount you finance
Must be paid off within 12 months to avoid interest
Good for homeowners who want a faster payoff and no interest during the promo period
Long-term option
7.99% interest for 120 months
This option spreads a roof replacement cost over more time for a lower-pressure monthly payment.
Loan minimum starts at $3,000
You can put money down first and finance the rest
Monthly payments often land around $100 to $300 depending on roof size
Best for homeowners who care more about cash flow than a quick payoff
Payment examples are for planning purposes only. Your final terms depend on credit approval and the amount financed.
Who We Work With
Financing through Service Finance
Most of our roof financing goes through Service Finance Company. Service Finance is part of Truist Bank and specializes in home improvement lending, so the process is more familiar and straightforward for a roofing project.
Simple application
Filling out the application takes only a few minutes, and once you submit it you usually hear back quickly.
No financing markup from us
We make no money on your financing and add no financing fee. Customers who pay by bank draft or check also get a cash discount from us.
Built for speed
We can start the application as soon as your quote is signed, so your roof project is not stuck waiting.
Payment Calculator
Estimate your monthly payment
This calculator uses the 120-month, 7.99% plan and a payment factor of 1.21% per month. It is a simple planning tool, not a final loan offer.
$8,000$50,000
By default the estimate starts at $12,000. Move the slider and watch the estimated monthly payment change.
Estimated monthly payment
Based on 120 monthly payments at a 1.21% payment factor.
Estimated financed amount
Estimated total of payments
Putting money down lowers both the financed amount and the monthly payment. Final approval and exact terms come from Service Finance.
Questions Homeowners Ask
Questions worth asking before you finance
Is there collateral? Do they put a lien on my house?
These are unsecured personal loans, so no lien goes on your home or any other property, and your vehicles are not affected either.
Are there prepayment penalties?
Neither plan has prepayment penalties. If you want to pay off the balance before the term ends, you can do it at any time and you will not owe any additional fees.
Does On Tops Roofing make money on financing?
We do not make any money on it. We pay part of the financing cost ourselves, and that is why there is no markup from us on your loan. Some contractors use financing as a profit center, but we do not think that is the right way to work with homeowners, so we will not do it.
Can I pay with a credit card or HELOC?
Service Finance is not your only option. You can also pay by credit card, check, or bank transfer, and if you have a HELOC or another product like the Wells Fargo Home Service Credit Card, that works too. Tell us how you want to handle it and we will make sure everything gets set up correctly.
How long does the process take?
We can start the application the same day your quote is signed. Most applicants get an answer from Service Finance within a day or two, and that means your project does not wait long before work can begin.
Can On Tops Roofing see any of my personal information?
Your information goes straight to Service Finance when you enter it, and we cannot see any of it. Payment details you enter in our payment portal work the same way. At no point in the process do we have access to your financial information.
Are there other plan options available?
Most projects fit one of the two plans on this page, but depending on your project size and budget there are other options too. Call us and we will go over what is available and which one might make the most sense for you.
